Asphalt-Impregnated Glass Ply Protection Course
Tremco® 2178 Glass Ply Sheet is an asphalt-impregnated fiberglass ply felt marked with laying lines and lightly dusted on one side with a fine mineral parting agent. It features a fiberglass mat with uniform fiber distribution and high tensile strength in both directions.
Basic Uses
- When fused to the waterproofing membrane, it provides both stability to the membrane and protection during placement of the asphaltic paving overlay.

- Tremco 2178 may also be used in many other applications where a lightweight, asphalt-impregnated protection course is appropriate.
